Diving into Rhapsody - a poem.

Stand on the edge
toes curled cold
and feel the breeze
wafting aspen whispers
with the sumac dancing
to lyrics unheard
in the blue light of dawn
overlaying velvet waves
of rippling breath
before the first
pianissimo strains
rising from the deep
reflection of the pool.

You plunge
the bracing chill
with frozen embrace
in deep tones
from your chest
spreading to your toes
lithe chords of rhapsody
a woven primordial
calming innate memory
when life was a symphony
of light and shadow
played out
before your birth.
