Before WordsWorth there was PyWrite, a simple no-nonsense app for creating manuscripts.
It worked but was just a little basic for other than writing blog posts and poems, but it wasn’t in your face like most writing apps.
Which got me thinking… I use Trilium Notes for most of my note-taking. It is feature rich but sometimes you just want a simple app to jot down a note or two about just about anything.
Back to the drawing board I went and now I have that wee note-taking app. Based on Pywrite, NotaBene allows you to create your own note categories, add notes to the category, move them around between categories and delete them directly. And I added in a couple features missing from PyWrite, like a reminder you haven’t saved the note before moving on or closing the app.
It’s plain for sure, but another member of the family has arrived.
Cheers,
Mark
