Recycling an old belt and some macrame cord.

So it was fun playing with leather, making paracord bracelets. After a couple of wrong turns I finally have a clasp I can live with.

But there hanging in my closet was a rather woebegone leather belt, I think I picked it up on one of those ubituitous ‘FREE’ piles you see in front of driveways here on Sunday (garbage pickup is Monday morning). Hmm, what could I do with this old belt…

*PING* and idea…

A few years ago one of my neighbours gave me a whack of macrame cord. Not exactly paracord but I have used it in the past to make bracelets. Long and the short of it I have a new belt (ok, I happen to like red so there!).

Even better – zero dollars spent and all it cost me was an hour this evening. Kept me away from social media anyway. 🙂

Cheers,
Mark
