The handle is hot! I like my coffee hot and black (2 sugars, no cream please!) but after awhile I notice the handle gets a tad on the warm side. These days that means it has become my occasional tea mug, which is too bad as it has lots of life left in it; considering my habit of elbowing china mugs off my desk!
So long story short, I was sitting outside enjoying a nice French Roast (Costco Pacific Bold, amazingly good!) in my brand new Contigo travel coffee cup when I had a brain wave (or fart depending on your point of view).
So out came some leftover cord from a belt I once had and presto, a new thermal handle for my mug. And the cord is waterproof so no issues in the dishpan.
Take that roasted finger demons!
