Deosil Goes 3Deosil

The resident hermit caught in the reflection of the new Bambu P1S.

Well we have been talking about this for awhile, seeing all the cool models online, and sort of hankering to give 3D printing a try.

Of course Mrs. Bear did all the legwork, looking up best performance to price, types of filament to get, talking to friends already 3D printing. In the end we went with the Bambu P1S Combo with the AMS2 hopper on top to hold 4 reels of filament (Mrs. B. is thinking Sky Blue weaving thingamabobs). I will probably be cool with grey or black (I am boring).

Setup was interesting. I am fighting a bug right now so a. no patience, b. a tad grumpy (Frieda has been side-eyeing me from the living room). I did the big unpacking then handed the reins over to the boss to finish.

So far so good, we printed the little test print of a boat and it looks pretty cool. After installing Bambu Studio and setting up an account it was a snap to download a file from printables.com and send it over to the printer via wifi… Badda boom badda bing I am printing a green stand for my cellphone.

The adventure begins – I am sure I will be pestering people with the silly things I print (I have a hoodie pencil holder I want to make as soon as I have more filament).

Meanwhile we is having fun,
Mark
