I promised myself I would take a break from coding, or at least give my eyeballs a rest for the next few days (big couple of weeks coming up at work!).
Before I break though, have been meaning to finish up the last ‘crafty’ app – PYxel.
PYxel is a simple app to take a jpg or png image and turn it into blocks of colour, the basic idea to convert images into something you could knit, crochet etc. I also added export to PNG, SVG or PDF for the created image, image with overlay grid or just the grid itself. I also added a dropdown of the colours generated with their Hex code if you were thinking of using the app to pick complementary colours for your website from an image. Along the way it also allowed me the chance to play with Canvas.
Comments on where to take this next appreciated, esp from the crafty ppl I know.
Cheers,
Mark
(and now to put Pysano to bed for a couple weeks… nighty night!)
