after the last “Goodnight!”
before the dawn
of your next baby steps
along a flinty path
strewn with memories
and tomorrows
as you tumble
pell mell
towards Nirvana.
Eternity is a thought
before time the concept
became time the enemy
the menacing tick tock
of your breathing
bringing you closer
to the day you leave
only a shaft of sunlight
