Blue Collar by Bachman Turner Overdrive is an unappreciated piece.

I have eclectic tastes in music, anyone who knows me can expect my trusty bluetooth speaker next to my laptop to be playing anything from Bocelli to Carlos Santana to Cindy Bradley at any given time.

Often when playing an album from fairly famous artists I will come upon a tune or two that just grabs me – like why isn’t this piece more highlighted or well known? So in no particular order here are 10 songs that I think are underrated given the artists that performed them:

  1. Bachman Turner Overdrive ‘Blue Collar’
  2. Lionel Richie ‘Sela’
  3. Playing For Change ‘United’
  4. America ‘Tin Man’
  5. Led Zeppelin ‘Going to California’
  6. The Police ‘Walking on The Moon’
  7. Scorpions ‘Still Loving You’
  8. 10 Years After ‘Slow Blues in C’
  9. François Dompierre ‘Saute mouton’
  10. Max Richter ‘The Departure Suite’

Maybe I should expand the list to 20 or 30, maybe 100, not sure as I am constantly finding gems from the past and present in my ‘tubing.

How about you?

Cheers,
Mark
